Copyright
Copyright is a legal concept, enacted by most governments, that grants the creator of an original work exclusive rights to its use and distribution, usually for a limited time, with the intention of enabling the creator of intellectual wealth (e.g. the photographer of a photograph or the author of a book) to receive compensation for their work and be able to financially support themselves.

Intellectual property
Intellectual property refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions; literary and artistic works;designs;
and symbols, names and images used in commerce.Intellectual property is protected in law by, for example, patents, copyright and trademarks, which enable people to earn recognition or financial benefit from what they invent or create. By striking the right balance between the interests of innovators and the wider public interest, the intellectual property system aims to foster an environment in which creativity and innovation can flourish.
Task two
Design is innovative
- Design must evolve in tandem with innovative technology (electronic, digital, etc.) Sticking to vector graphics instead of raster, for instance, is an example of design keeping pace with technology to good effect.
Design is makes a product useful
- A product’s usefulness depends not only on its functionality, but on the psychological and aesthetic impacts of its design. Hence, good design makes sure to avoid any psychological or aesthetic elements that might get in the way of a positive, functional feel.
Design is aesthetic
- Only well executed objects can be beautiful
Design makes a product understandable
- A product should be self-explanatory. Good design can accomplish this by clarifying the product’s structure and function, keeping the user’s intuition in mind. A web page, for example, is a product design responsible for making the site’s function manifest and readily comprehensible.
Design is honest
- Design should not make a product look more innovative, powerful or valuable than it really is. It must not imply promises that cannot be kept.
Design is unobtrusive
- Designed products should be thought of as tools, rather than as works of art or decorative objects. As such, they should be restrained, not busy or overwrought.
Design thorough down to the last detail
- Good design takes care to look professional and thought-out, with nothing arbitrary-looking.
Design is durable
- Designs that attempt to look “fashionable” will soon feel outdated; those that strive toward functionality will last. This is a good reason to avoid trendy elements in logo design.
Design is environmentally friendly
- Rams was thinking about environmental sustainability long before the sentiment was widely popularized. He was also concerned with a different type of pollution: visual pollution. Living in a sea of ugly, dysfunctional designs can take its toll on one’s well being, too.
Design as little as possible
- “Less, but Better” was Rams’ motto. Design should concentrate on the product’s essential aspects. “Back to purity, back to simplicity.”
